For noe847

I have been trying to read your Trip Report from Romania, but have had no luck "searching" for it. I have clicked on your name and found a lot of posts, but not that one!
Would you be so kind as to top that post? We are in the process of planning a similar trip.
Thanks from
Brahmama

hopefully noe847 will see your post. But just FYI - the best way to search for threads is on google.

Do advance search and plug fodors.com/forums into the domain field.

Use noe847 and any key words you think were in her report into the ALL words field.

Thanks for the reply janisj!

I did look at over 150 of her replies, and found mostly her replying in other posts, but wasn't able to find *her* post. I'll keep trying.

I'm sure she'll spot this as she's a pretty loyal Fodorite.

Brahmama, I JUST saw this post. And to think I was paged by name and I missed it! I really don't check the left column very often, and only search the Romania posts every week or so, since posting on this country is so infrequent. Anyway, I know that by this point you've seen the never-ending trip report that I'm working on, but I just wanted to thank you for the 'shout-out'.

Hi noe:
I thought it's more appropriate to move to this thread from the Cologne hotel thread:

I grew up catholic, so I do the same thing when we travel during easter. Since you mentioned that you've attended easter mass at the Berlin teacup church several times, you may be interested knowing about the second major catholic church built in Berlin. It's just right off Schoenhauseralee by the Rosa Luxembourgplatz U bahn station in Prenzlauerberg. http://tinyurl.com/yssrbc

Forgot to mention, press the Herz Jesu button on the upper left.

Thanks, DAX. I think you're right about moving the topic - and it's nice to have my own thread to use!

I was not aware of this church, and we will try to visit it out for one of the Holy Week services. The teacup is just a few blocks from our hotel, but we do love to check out other churches when we travel. We'll have to go to Easter Vigil on Saturday evening since 2 of us have to fly home early on Easter Sunday (school starts Monday).

FYI, I have not been to that church personally and was just reading up on it more in depth. Apparently it is an ecumenical catholic church meaning non-traditional, liberal & apropos for Prenzlaurberg. Today, I just learned that ecumenical catholics believe in contraceptive use, remarriage without anullment, homosexuality and disagree with the pope's dogma of infallibility?? While we may understand/agree with some or all of their modern ideas, you may get a different crowd/message on your easter mass there. Just giving you heads up.

Yes, I'm impressed by your very own namesake thread and I'm glad to remember to search for it.
