For Chihuly lovers only
Just received notice that there's a Chihuly exhibition scheduled to be in Reno, Nevada from September 24 through November 12, 2000. If you need more information, post questions here. I don't want this to sound like an advertisement.

Too late! The European forum isn't the place or the time.
|
You're right. I was merely trying to share some information because I know there are Chihuly admirers on this forum, and didn't know how else to do it.

Can someone explain to me (preferably
"Admire Chihuly")
why Holly was out of line posting what she did?
What if she asked
"I just heard there is a Chihuly exhibition sometime this autumn,in Reno,Nevada.
Can anyone fill me in?"
I really can't see how this is different than when people come back from a trip, and mention a resturant, hotel, tour company, or an exhibit that they have been to, and enjoyed.
Maybe someone can enlighten me?,
I **do not ** want to start one of these horrible threads that go on and on and get nasty.
I am just very curious.
Nancy

I think many of us first came to know Chihuly's work through the PBS piece about his installation in Venice - so I think it's very appropriate to post here - thank you Holly.

As an added note - he currently has installations in several wineries in the Napa Valley.
Holly and "Me":
So glad you posted! Do you know which wineries in Napa? We're going in August for a few days since we couldn't go back to Tuscany this year, it's our next best bet.
Thanks in advance...
Mary

Hi Mary,

I know there is one at Mondavi and one at Clos Pegase. There are several others, but I'm not sure exactly where. Maybe the Napa Valley Visitors Bureau would have a complete list - or perhaps Mondavi could tell you more. Enjoy your trip in August!
BRAVO HOLLY for being kind enough to share. Some posters here have nothing to do w/ their time but criticize. Lighten up! An earlier posting listed Chihuly's web site as www.chihuly.com> for all info.
