People who are pleased with their appearance usually don't yell at people,
so ... thin ? gorgeous ? Doubt it

This word just in from God: He's seen you, and thinks of you as fatgorger.

ThinGorjus, I seriously doubt that "you would ever see the likes of Jackie Onassis rushing into Lush" as she is no longer with us. If you do see her, or think you are going to, I suggest you seek professional help.

The former "thingorjus" in life is a little old retired man who has a pot and can't see very well. His wife allows him to use her computer while she's doing yardwork and shopping. He has a rich fantasy life amd prefers bathroom humor.

"For all those who have fallen in love with Lush"

Sorry, I thought this question was directed at my wife.

Your wife is a lush? I'm sorry to hear that, Tom.

Me thinks you have my reply backwards. But she is luscious.

I went into the Lush store in San Francisco when it first opened in 2003. Haven't been back since. Don't know about you, but I like my personal stuff (bath stuff, next-to-skin stuff like lotions, etc.) sealed or at least packaged until I get it home and use it. The way a lot of the Lush products were displayed and sold struck me as being really kind of unhygenic - and I'm no germ-o-phobe. None of the scents really got to me (in a postive way) either.

Thank you, Dovima, you are a woman of discriminating tastes, having the same name as the great model.

Grantop: I said, "...the LIKES of Jackie Onassis...." Don't you know what the word "like" means?????? In this case I was using it as a synonym for "similar to." I know Jackie O is dead, as my dog is named after her. (Jackie waving her manicured paw at Mimi.)

Did you ever notice that when you mention "god" all the wankers come out of the wainscot? ;0

I think thingorge should possibly consider taking a xanax or valium. Or perhaps looking into therapy. Seems to be some "anger management" issues here.

Just my honest opinion which in America, I am more than entitled to express.

Keep up the positive attitude girl!

Geez.

Oh for goodness'sake! Who gives a duck's ass what beauty products one likes or dislikes - or, more aptly, who wants to judge who is "cooler" than whom based on the beauty products they endorse? I guess from reading these postings that people who like LUSH are shunned now, for bad taste? Spare me!

It's all so impossibly infantile.

I don't care who sprays lavender mist on their underwear. I don't care who wears old colognes not available anymore. I don't care who puts bombs in their baths, and I don't care who exfoliates with citrus products. I'd rather not stand next to the person who has bathed with chocolate soap, and I don't care to do business with folks who've done a blueberry-honey massage within the last 24 hours. Just spare me all of this. It is really just such a silly exercise in one-upsmanship by folks who want to show off - bore me.

I myself do like some beauty products, including a few of the LUSH ones, but I could happily live without any of them except maybe the great skin cream I buy in Paris every year that helps me to look 10 years younger than I am. It doesn't come from LUSH, but it works like a charm.

Sorry, but if you read her posts again you'll see she seems to be a little self-important and suffering from a what appears to be a real attitude problem.

This was a fun and light thread and I find myself little irritated when someone comes off as pretentious and looking for a fight by "baiting".

People like her need a reality check at times.

dovima, I'm with you. I thought it was only me who was offended by all those products being picked up, handled, sniffed at, and nose-dripped on by those hoardes of tourists -- most of whom smelled everything in the store before buying anything, or in more cases buying nothing. And the Lush stores are easy to find. You can smell them at least a block away.

You can be a Lush lover so long as you are not just a lush.

With at least a 6 year supply of soaps from various trips, I don't think I will rush over to Lush--and I am not even including my collection of little hotel soaps. Don't even get started on the shampoo and conditioner! Insofar as lotion is concerned, I have enough to cover the next 60 years. By that time, I doubt I will have to worry about lotion--or much else either.

I plan to leave the lot to my grandchildren (don't have any yet), so they won't have to pay inflated Lush prices.
