Hey Cholm, what are the odds of scoring Premiership ducats for a match in March or April, London, potential GTG at said match?

It is the last year for the boy in Public School and we are throwing out a spring break fling as something of a graduation gift...and his first choice? You guessed it.

Of course this all has to pass his Mum before any real planning gets done...but...you never know, and I hear tickets are hard to come by. In other words...no tickets, no trip.

As for the question - easiest team to get tickets to will be Fulham and getting them through the club website is the simplest way

are you wedded to seeing a london match? you may have more luck outside the capital - my DH just bought a ticket on the gate at Anfield [liverpool] recently, but there were only playing West Brom.

looking at spurs fixture list, your best bet in April is probably Newcastle - it's a long way for the away fans to come. ffor the same reason, no chance for the West Ham match the week before I'd have thought. that said, CW is on the spot and is bound to emerge from mourning sooner or later.

I agree that otherwise, Fulham is a good bet. if you're prepared to travel, your chances wil obviously increase, especially as you are booking so far in advance.

Thanks ann for the tips. Don't quite know if I am wedded to London. Although I DO know my wife rather liked being in London.

I've been working and it hasn't agreed with me one bit.

I can score tickets for almost all THFC matches no problem.

Other than that it's not so easy - Chelsea are possible for cup games, as are West Ham.

Arsenal is very very hard - you'd need to go to a tout. I think I remember your boy saying he was a gooner (for shame!). Although you will find tickets hard to come by the goons do offer stadium topurs that I have heard people speak highly of.

Although not premiership Charlton, QPR and Crystal Palace are all watchable and easy to get into.

Have you got an idea as to dates yet? If you do I'll be able to see whos playing where and go from there.

ps - it aint cheap - about £45 each (no reduction for the boy) and you may learn some new words!

The only kestrel anyone's ever seen near Anfield is the lager that was always on special at Aldi. And not even a Kopite with a throat as dry as a dead dingo's donger wouldn't "murder" something as evocative of fornication in a punt.

You won't get a ticket in the away fans section as Skunk fans go to all the games they can - plus there's a lot of them in London.

Besides it will be a relegation battle at that time of the year unless one or both is already relegated so that brings out the crowds

Obviously not the glamour ties, but Portsmouth have two home games on the 11th and 18th of April - just 90 minutes from London by train - tickets probably not an issue as West Brom and Bolton are hardly going tp cause a stampede.

Another possibility - which you will easily be able to get tickets for is Villa - it's an easy enough trip up to Birmingham on the train and they have both the eel munchers and the toffees in that period.

CAVEAT! Although we're giving the fixtures as set at present they can get moved around at quite short notice by the telly company.

Re Villa: They've got a great big ground which they rarely fill. They have a good side and are doing rather well this year (they have a really good manager).

Baltis are the traditional Birmingham food - and bloody lovely they are too. They sell balti pies at Villa Park.
