And there I was hoping that Defoe and Glen Johnson would collide, both needing to be carried off, while Peter Couch broke both legs tripping over them, thus causing the Spurs manager to suffer an apoplectic fit which forever prevents him from attending another football match.

Bitter, of course I am bl**dy bitter. I watched my side lose to a goal off Bobby Zamora's bum - and I suspect that is about as good as it is going to get this season.

Yesterday was fun - we always lose the first game and against the bin-dippers I was far from confident. But we played 'em off the park. Lovely stuff it was.
