Football matches in Italy and France
Hi,
My 12 year old son is mad about football (or soccer as we call it). It would be fantastic for him to watch a match when we're on holiday in France or Italy later in the year.
Does anyone have advice about how to find matches and getting tickets (if needed). I think he'd be happy with any level - doesn't have to be professional although obviously that would add to the excitement.
thanks,
Soccer Mum

It really depends on where exactly you are and when. I have been to several games in Italy, and the only issue I have had is buying tickets.
After recent problems in Naples and Sicily there has been a reluctance to sell tickets "At the gate", but they are easy enough to buy away from the ground - you will need a passport so they can put your details on the tickets.

As everyone says, it all depends on where & when you will be in France & Italy. The seasons in both countries will start around the same time, and there are always pre-season warm-up matches as well, but knowing where you will be will help us all to suggest possible matches/clubs to check out.
