I was in Istanbul for several days. I ate at a lot of local restaurants and a few stands. I had no issues and have a very finicky stomach. Best to drink bottled water, thoroughly wipe down any produce and clean your hands as someone suggested.

I ate everything and had no problems. I loved the cucumber salad at the different places I ate.
