Boiled eggs smell bad, especially in close spaces.
Have a little respect for others Jeez |
There are so many things people do that is inconsiderate and rude on planes, that eggs are way down on my list including airlines allowing people to stuff refrigerators in the overhead.
But if someone cracked an egg next to me, my first thought would be they hit their head. |
What I cannot stand is someone sitting next to me on a plane [or train for that matter] chewing gum. Just gross. Much worse than eggs, tuna, even bananas, which I don't like either.
this is probably for another thread but as we were venting.... |
annhig.. some folks ( myself included ) must chew gum.. at least on take off and landing.. otherwise my ears do not "pop".. sorry.. at least I do it with my mouth closed.. so not smacking away.
|
Gum chewers don't bother me (I have to sometimes for the ears too)
But ones who incessantly pop/crack their gum or chew w/ there mouth open drive me up the wall. The popping/cracking especially is soooooooo annoying. |
I had hard boiled eggs, which I'd intended to eat on the plane, taken from me quite rudely on a flight from Bermuda to JFK.
|
don't start me on people who file their nails or tidy up their makeup. On aircraft, in the pub, aaargh
what did their mother ever teach them as for photographing their food, |
and then people who insist on wearing perfume on an aircraft, who in their right mind thinks that is nice, just wash
Eggs in the US are washed prior to sale and sulphur may be used to compensate for this insane practice. Might explain the odd smells you get off American boiled eggs. |
A man sitting behind me on a plane took his shoes off and put his foot on my armrest, next to the window. Seriously, who does that?
|
I think that might call for a small dribble of something, not scalding hot, don't want to cause an injury, but maybe some bad red wine or sticky soft drink...
|
It's not called "rotten egg gas" for nothing!
|
LeeineA, not to worry, I just returned from Italy and every hotel breakfast buffet included hard boiled eggs as an option. I am a fan myself.

There is a whole hell of a lot of difference between having eggs for breakfast . . . in a breakfast/dining room and whipping out hardboiled eggs in a cramped/crowded airplane. |
