Dear SB <BR>for the Uffizi and Accademia, you can order advance tickets for a small additional fee. They will give you an email confirmation, take that with you. <BR> www.waf.it/museires.htm <BR> <BR>Or call the Uffizi directly during their office hours, choose a time, leave your name, and they'll give you a 15-minute entry time window and a five-digit confirmation number. (In Italy, call 055-294-883. From the US, dial 011-39-55-294-883. Open Mon.-Fri. 8:30-18:30, Sat 9:00-12:00). At the Uffizi, walk past the long line to the special entrance for those with reservations, give <BR>your name and number, pay (cash only), and walk right in. <BR>for more info <BR>www.uffizi.firenze.it <BR>also <BR>www.museionline.com museums all over Italy <BR> <BR>www.italink.com/end/egui/hogui.htm Florence museums <BR> <BR>www.arca.net/florence.htm <BR> <BR>You don't need a reservation for the Bargello, it's not hard to get in at all(and it was one of my favorite museums in Florence). <BR>For the Accademia (David et al), some people have had no trouble, when I went there was a long line if you didn't have advance tickets. I used the <BR>waf website for reserved tickets for that as well as the Uffizi. <BR>good luck <BR>

What is the service charge for tickets purchased through waf.it/museires.htm? Can I trust this site? Does anyone have ane-mail address or phone number for them?

Many people on this forum in addition to me have successfully used the waf <BR>site to purchase museum tickets. Everything happened as they promised it would. <BR>The website will give you current charges and procedures, as well as their email address.

We went to Florence last year and went about the city without a guide. We ended up spending 3 long cold hours in line waiting to get inot the Uffizi. Yes we were one of the hundreds of fools who did not did not plan ahead and ended up standing in line. the museum is so cheap to get in, who cares is they add on a small fee. I would have payed double the enterance fee just to not have to wait in line! When we went to the Accadamia, we just walked(did I say walk? I meant pushed)our way in without any waiting in line. The statue of David would have been worth a three hour wait in the cold! The Uffizi was not! So pay the extra and don't stand in line!!!
