Did anyone catch Google's April Fools' Day prank yesterday? It was hilarious!

Too bad the post-it is gone. It looked so much better than the new Midas touch.
|
Yes! :D

That was meant for bookchick's post, but applies equally to NYCFS's.
|
what was it, Kathy?

There was a link on their homepage one clicked on and it told of Google beverages which supposedly are formulated to stimulate your brain! There were photos of 3 different bottles, which had very authentic-looking labels and descriptions, and even the chemical formulation, which, if you looked carefully, spelled "google"! It said that distribution would be done secretly, but if someone you knew had G-mail, they might get one, and the bottle top could be passed along to a non-subscriber of gmail in order to obtain a free bottle of the beverage! It was a hoot!

Thanks Kathy, sorry I missed it.
Waiting for David's next post but I know he's working today. |
Bookie, I thought Google's April Fool's thing was a hoot, too.
If anyone else wants to Get Gulped here's the web address http://www.google.com/googlegulp/ Just be forewarned "From time to time, in order to improve Google Gulp's usefulness for our users, Google Gulp will send packets of data related to your usage of this product from a wireless transmitter embedded in the base of your Google Gulp bottle to the GulpPlex™, a heavily guarded, massively parallel server farm whose location is known only to Eric Schmidt, who carries its GPS coordinates on a 64-bit-encrypted smart card locked in a stainless-steel briefcase handcuffed to his right wrist. " Now if Fodors would bring back the Post-It..... :-D |
