Fodor's pin and get-togethers
I've read several times on this forum about wearing a Fodor's pin and about attending Fodor's get-togethers. Can someone clarify?

A while back someone started wondering about ways for Forum readers (Fodorites) to be able to recognise each other out in the wide world...

Especially when on holiday...

The idea of ribbons was superceded by the idea of pins, which Fodors kindly made and distributed for free, not long before recent cut backs made it unlikely for this to be repeated.

The GTGs are another thing entirely, where readers and posters on this Forum try and get together to meet and talk and have fun.

I attended one in San Francisco in July and am attempting to organise some London GTGs.

You would be welcome to attend if you are in London on the dates we get together...

Hope this clarifies.

Thanks for the information and claification. I won't be in London this year...going to Italy, France and Spain...but thanks for the invitation. I live in Denver, so hope there will be a gathering here one day.

Alea, why don't YOU set one up? All you have to do is post a question on this board, maybe the European and the US board at the minimum, and ask if there are any Fodorites in the Denver area who would like to get together. Depending on the response you get, you can go from there. If you decide to do this I urge you to look for the threads on the San Francisco and Atlanta get togethers to get some hints on how to procede.

Alea

Second Linda's suggestion for you to initiate a Fodorite GTG in your area...

Just post to find out how many are interested, then together with them, decide when and where to meet...

In a restaurant, or perhaps, if someone is brave enough, in someone's home or garden?

Hope you can do this and have as much fun meeting other Fodorites as I do...

Kavey
