Fodors - FYI - Software bug when posting a reply
 

Done't know how else to notify Fodors of problem, so .... <BR> <BR>Done post many replies but, tonight Ihave posted and noticed that when I use "back" button (after replying), older messages are listed at the top (8/13/01) instead of the most recent (eg. today (8/16/01) messages are not there anymore). Once I hit "refresh" recent messageage re-appear. <BR> <BR>Anyone else have this problem? Could I be doing something wrong? <BR> <BR>DFW 8/16/01

Haven't had that problem, but it's taking forever for the questions to pop up on my computer tonight. Seems like it's in slow motion. Another friend alos mentioned the same problem earlier in the day. The rest of my favorite websites are at regular speed, so it doesn't appear to be my server with the problem.

The search function doesn't pull up any postings from the past few days.

Deb, were you on the "first 50" page, or the "next 50" page? <BR> <BR>I believe when you post Fodors returns you to the refreshed top of the page from which you posted. If on the second page, that's what you'll return to, at the top. <BR> <BR>twenj

Deb, what a wonderful way of identifying your posts (initials, date). If and when the search function is operational you'll be able to find your posts easily! Great idea.

Talking about the first or second 50 page, it can get confusing. So, I wrote to Foders and suggested to indicate under, "Get next 50 or Go back to previous frame", another line saying you are on your 1st set of 50, 2nd, etc. They replied and said, <BR> <BR>"Thanks for your interest in Fodor's. Your e-mail has been sent to our <BR>producers for consideration. We hope you will continue to find our Web site <BR>and guide books to be valuable travel resources". <BR> <BR>We'll see if anything develops . . . <BR> <BR>
