Fodors Avg Incom Follow Up - Are you saving anything?

The avg. income thread was very interesting. Some people manage to travel more on less and those making more seem to have less time for travel, but are any of you saving for the future? We are. Have a nice retirement account and will be able to hopefully not be a burden to our children and travel then also. How about you?

I agree. It's bad enough when people try to drag us all into their marital and family problems, but what is the obsession with other people's finances? Why in the world would this be important to you? Now you want to know whether we are saving for the future? Get a life, Lina.

Sorry this questions disturbs you so much. Just thought it was an interesting question in light of the avg. income thread - are you spending all your money living it up now? or are you saving for your future and future travel?

I'm too busy paying off my European trips to save yet, but am thinking of saving this year.

You're weird, Lina. You can call me weird too, but I could not care less if you have a savings account at all. Couldn't care less if the other total strangers who post here do either. The only thing interesting about the other thread is that people are naive enough to answer it.

If you went on a tour, and became friends or even just acquaintances with people you had not previously known...<BR><BR>would it be so weird that the conversation might turn to "so how are you guys doing with your nest egg, with the stock market being in such a shambles and all?"<BR><BR>doesn't seem weird to me.<BR>

You guys all make me feel great. I truly make more than all of you and enjoy travel and still save for my old age. Trouble is don't save it all for the doctors and hospitals as you will not want to go anywhere when you are old. Better live a good life today.
