I found a great one from Marilyn

"old threads never die, they just put on their frayed bed sheets and come back to haunt you."

Love it!

Most injuries happen as a result of the phrase "Hey, y'all, watch this!"

Never take on trip anything you can't afford to lose.

(can you afford to lose your spouse? I can't ;) )

Why thank you, ahotpoet! I believe that was the thread about whether anyone travels with their own linens, since the quality at 4 and 5 star hotels was inadequate for the OP.

Lately, I've decided that my life's primary mantra will be "worry less". I can't honestly remember the last time one once of worry did me one once of good. Worry is simply a destructive emotion.

When I was 16, a good friend told me something simple yet profound and I have applied it to this day: "blame is useless". He told me that after I somehow managed to let the car keys fall into the dashboard vents never to be seen again, all the while we were 3 hours from home stuck in some gawd awful camp ground in 95 degree heat and humidity. But he was absolutely right.
