Fodor's Official U.K. Footie Team - Vote Now

Recently a vote was held amongst Fodorites (not sanctioned by Fodors or Random House - disclaimer) that ended in controversy and charges of improprieties (i.e. sore losers)

So election officials have ordered a new vote to see what should be Fodor Nations (un)official U.K. footie team

Voting will end tomorrow Dec 11 at 8:04 EST (24 hours from now)

Posters that have ever been given green cards by Fodor editors, even i reinstated are not allowed to cast votes.

Voting now open:

PalQ casts one vote for SPURS

I'm totally with farce on this.

Bit of a knee-jerk reaction, but Deportivo Wanka will pull it off. So that's where I'll plonk my vote.

If the LibDems on the site (are you reading, Ms Ritchie?) insist on proportional representation, then my transferable second preference vote goes to Raith Rovers.

Surely, Raith Rovers are The Broon's team (allegedly)?

Eurostar fans might want to get acquainted with Ebbsfleet United.

As I said on another thread Raith are in many ways a perfect team for this site. No buggers ever been there, and every one will claim to be an expert on the place and know the best place to buy a deep fried mars bar or Irn Bru and the best bus shelter to drink Buckfast or Purple Tin in.

Me: I think the best pace to get a fish supper is McAllisters on Raith High Rd washed down by a pint of 80 shilling at the Rose and Crown on Market street, and then get a cab back to Mrs McDonald's B&B on the outskirts of Raith in the Old Town.

Yes, but will I be crazy if I wear white trainers there? Should I wear a Canadian badge? Are gypsies going to try and scam me, and can I get a meal at 6pm and pay with dollars?

Yes, but will I be crazy if I wear white trainers there? >>>>

Combine them with a white Adidas trackie and you'll fit right in. People will even ask you for directions.

>>>Should I wear a Canadian badge? >>>

The locals will assume it's a cannabis leaf and you will be welcomed into the fold (especially if you have temezapan).

>>>Are gypsies going to try and scam me,>>>

Gypsies are scared to go there - they claim it's cursed.

>>can I get a meal at 6pm and pay with dollars>>>

Yes you can get a late lunch, but you can only pay with scottish currency. Make sure you get this from your bank before you leave. I recommend the tea rooms on College St - called "You'll have had your tea"

If flanneur's voting for Deportivo Wanka that's good enough for me - i change my vote

Wanka it is

One may note i voted for Arsenal in previous poll but changed my vote to Spurs, before now changing it to Wanka

i left Arsenal because they lost 2-1 to Middleborough who hadn't won a game anywhere since Sep 1st or so - not a good sign - call me Fickle Bob if you want.

I guess I'm going to have to go with Deportivo Wanka. I hear the street vendors in Huancayo do an excellent choked chicken. I'm a little worried that if I wear their shirt around town I'll have to beat off my envious fellow supporters with a stick. I await the final result with bated breath.

Our official motor car engine can be the Mazda Wankel.

Raith Rovers are in Fife, and I'm more of a Forfar fellow myself.
