anamaria: Why the heck did you top a <b>five</b> year old thread . . . . . .
|
Same comments as the BA fa...they said the don't do it anymore because someone was burned...but it works like a CHARM!! I went through 45 hours of labor with my first child no meds and the pain I had in my ear far exceeded any pain I had then...it was all I could do to keep from screaming in agony...the sweet flight attendant (they did have microwave??) heated up a wet towel in there stuffed it in the cup and within 10 seconds my pain went from a 10 to a 2....it really is amazing!

janisj...I've got a cold..and worse yet I gave it to my husband. Were leaving on Tuesday for Italy and Greece. I guess I'm desperate and was looking for a good decongestant. I wasn't going to post because there's enough info on Fodors. And I didn't mean to top this thread I meant to top another thread, see how sick I am?

Anamaria, I'm so glad you brought this thread up. I'd never heard of the hot towel thing & have a relative who is going to benefit immensely from that tip with the problem he has with his ears, especially if a plane is unable to land & circles (the pressure is awful when that happens.)
Thanks so much. |
"<i>And I didn't mean to top this thread I meant to top another thread, see how sick I am?</i>" :)
get better soon - hopefully it is just a summer cold that will run its course quickly. Flying when you don't feel well is the pits . . . . . . |
Did I mention that I love this forum? Yesterday it was roundabouts; today it's inner ear problems.
I think one poster mentioned that the hot towel/cup thing helped sinus pressure. Yes? Meaning it would help a sinus headache? Will someone explain how it works? I'm assuming the towel is only damp rather than really wet. Yes? And why both ears? (Someone mentioned that as well.) Thanks all, J. |
Thank you janisj. I'm already feeling better.
