Flying Shannon to Edinburgh, please help
Can anyone offer advice about which airlines operate a service between Shannon and Edinburgh
|
It seems none, I'm afraid. To Edinburgh, Aer Arran flies from Cork and Galway, and Aer Lingus & Ryanair fly from Dublin. See http://www.baa.co.uk/main/airports/e...ons_frame.html.
Mind you, I don't know how up to date they keep it. See also www.shannonairport.com - you can fly to Prestwick which is in Ayrshire in south west Scotland. |
Also, WhichBudget.com is showing an outfit called FlyBe going to EDI but when I look at their FlyBe's site, they only go to GLA airport in Glasgow. I don't know anything about them or what their status is, but an option. http://www2.flybe.com/ |
as the other say - none that I know of. But it is easy to get from Glasgow to Edinburgh - you could simply fly into GLA and take the train to Edinburgh . . . . .

Thank you for your help. My research pretty much confirmed what you were all saying but I did manage to get an aer lingus flight from Shannon to Dublin, then a short layover, then flying on to Edinburgh. Perhaps not the quickest option but I don't think there's too much of a time loss. Thanks all |
