Flying out of Beauvais

My soon-to-be wife and I are flying from Paris to Venice in a few weeks. The only direct, affordable flight I could find was out of Beauvais. I was wondering if anyone has flown out fromt here before and how reliable the shuttle bu sout of Paris is? Should we take that bus or consider the train? I realize it is quite a ways out of Paris.

Merci!

This thread may provide you with some useful information along that line:

Why don't you look into MyAir? It flies from Orly to Venice, and Orly is a lot closer to Paris than Beauvais. It is one of those cheapo airlines. We are flying with themthe other way in October.

I know lots of people won't recommend Beauvaids because it is so far out - I have no problem with that - I've used it several times. The shuttle bus is very reliable - book your tickets online on the Beauvais airport site. Buses leave Porte Maillot about 3 hours before each flight. Cost is 13 euro one way. Also, get a taxi to Porte Maillot - it can be very confusing arriving at the metro station if you inadvertantly come out the wrong exit, as we did!

But would a taxi know where to drop you off at Porte Maillot?
