flying open jaw U.S. to U.K.

Janisj suggested flying open jaw from the U.S. to Manchester, if Liverpool is a destination. I hadn't thought of that! I'm planning my next trip to England, and I'd like to do that.

I want to fly from the west coast to Manchester, and return from London. I've never booked a flight on the internet (internationally, anyway), so how do I do that? Simply book two one-way trips? Expedia doesn't seem to accept a one-way trip on their website. Should I go directly to my preferred airline's website?

Since Liverpool is the first segment of my trip, it would be nice to fly into Manchester Airport. I have been to that airport before, and I know that the train station is right next door. That would give me more time in the air, but less on the ground, and more time in Liverpool. Yay! :)

Thanks.

With expedia.com, click on 'One way trips...', then on the next page select Multiple Destinations from the drop-down box. You can then search for flights into MAN and back from LON.

Hi M,

Also try www.kayak.com.

Click "multi city".

Do NOT book 2 one-ways! This will be very expensive. You can look at travelocity (or expedia) for price comparisons, using the multi-city option. Or you can use Kayak.com which also has a multi-city option.

I always check the airline's site of whatever comes up in the searches as they usually have the best prices. Almost all the airlines have a multi-city search option now (even BA!).

Thanks everyone, I'll give that a try!

I use Expedia all the time to check open-jaws,and I naver check "one way trips". You check multiple cities (or something like that) right from the start.
