flying into Milan need itinerary to como

Hi we are first time travelers and have booked our flights today to Milan mxp, no sooner we did that someone told us air Air italia is the worst company to book with ,Ihope not, well Iwould be grateful if you could tell me if it is better from mxp to take a train up to Como or to get a hotel in milan and do it the next day Iam most concerned how long this would take from the airport to Como thanks in advance

Hi, Pappaf:

I'm assuming you mean Alitalia Airlines. While they have been in the news for financial problems and threatened strikes by employees, they are still getting passengers to their destinations just fine....maybe not always on time. But no airline is perfect.
In order to answer your question about getting to Lake Como, we would need more information like what time your plane arrives in Milan and what town at Lake Como you want to stay in.

There is a bus that runs directly from MXP to Como without going into Milan. You might try the MXP website for times, etc.

Depending upon what time you land and your final destination will make or brake this short journey. The drive up to Como is probably 45 minutes and is easy on a quick direct road, from there on it is a pretty scenic route so do not expect to average high speeds, none the less it is a welcoming journey that we make 3 or 4 times each year.

Suntraveler, evidently there is an airline by the name of Air Italia as another poster used them to fly from Rome.
