Flying home tonight on Asiana - very concerned

Far out, I am flying home tonight on Asiana.... Rather upset at the minute. Nothing much I can do I suppose.

Travel safe - there were probably a lot more people who died just going to the toilet today, so I'm sure you'll be fine!

You COULD change your flight but we know you won't so the point is....?

The point is I am upset... Nothing more than that. Enjoy your holiday.....

Understsnd your concern, but I am sure your trip will be fine and you will soon be home full of wonderful memories of a fabulous trip.

If anything the safety routines will be even stricter today than usual. And as I am sure you know flying is much safer than driving.

I understand your concern regarding the tragedy that happened yesterday. But you can be sure that every employee at Asiana will check everything on the plane with utmost care and attention today. Maybe this thought helps you: How high is the probability that one airline, which has the reputation of being very safe, will suffer two accidents in two consecutive days? More or less zero. I wish you a safe flight home!

It is never safer to fly than the day after an accident. Everyone is on their toes.

kerouac Jul 7th, 2013 05:14 AM

I don't think there have ever been two plane crashes in a row by the same airline. And today is probably not the day that it will finally happen since Asiana is a completely reputable airline.

Understandable your nerves are rattled. We flew back home to SFO (possibly using the same runway) just the day before the accident but on a different carrier. I am sure you'll be glad when you're safely home.

Wishing you safe travels - I understand you being unnerved. Sending you positive thoughts for a calm flight. Tomorrow you'll be relaxing at home and remembering your enjoyable trip.
