Flying from Madrid to Lisbon

We're flying in to Madrid on Iberia and catching a flight to Lisbon on TAP. Is two hours enough time for us to arrive, collect our bags, get through passport control and recheck our bags on TAP? Likewise, in coming back from Lisbon to Madrid, is two hours enough time to for us to catch our flight?

Thanks for any and all help/advise!

Madrid has four terminals,,,,might make a difference.
Iberia usually lands on 4....

TAP flies out of T2. If you're flying internationally, you'll be landing at T4S and will have to go thourgh customs and passport control in T4 before you can head for T2, where you will first have to check in at the counter, pass through security and get to the gate before it closes.

In short, if flying internationally, then no, 2 hours will not be enough time to make your TAP flight to Lisbon.

advice from the airport websites states
*Domestic and Schengen flights: 2 hours before the scheduled departure (20 minutes more if the flight leaves from Satellite Terminal T4).
and
*Non-Schengen flights: 3 hours before the scheduled departure (20 minutes more if the flight leaves from Satellite Terminal T4).

Some travellers to Madrid are not aware of the distance between T4 and other terminals.
a bus takes 6-8 min. The buses come every five or so minutes.
T4 is huge!

luggage retrieval can take up to 30-40 minutes on a not good day
