Flying from London to Stockholm

My son is doing a semester abroad in stockholm. from our initial search it seems chepest to fly to London then to take Ryan on to Stockholm. we are open to any thoughts or suggestions as everything we can find is quite expensive. Thanks

Logistically it can be a bit much to do that. Most airlines use Heathrow and/or Gatwick. Ryan flies out of Stanstead which is north of London. I used Ryan as a cheap carrier to get to Norway last summer.

If you start adding up transfer costs it might not save as much money.

It most definitely can be done but how much changing does a jet-lagged person want to do getting to Stockholm?

indytravel has a good point.

Check the prices on BMI, which flies to Stockholm from Heathrow.

Otherwise, you might try booking on a lesser known eastern european airline like LOT, CSA or Malev.

Hope this helps,

How about Finnair?

Hi Lintsox,

Finnair has roundtrip from London Heathrow to Stockholm for 137 BGP, which is around $200, which is pretty good.
