Flying from Frankfurt-Athens-Greece

How long should I allow as for immigration and customs as a US citizen when flying from Frankfurt to Athens and then on to Crete? Need to know how much time in Athens would be appropriate. Thank you for any help.

You are already in the EU, and both Germany and Greece are Schengen members, so no customs or immigration in Athens (you will have already done that in Germany). If your bags are checked through all the way to Crete and you have a boarding pass for the connecting flight, an hour should be plenty of time, as it will take only about 15-20 minutes to walk from one gate to another. If you have to collect your bags at the carousel and check in for the flight from Athens to Crete, two hours would be safer.
