Flygirl, here more on river cruises and I need advisor too

Thanks to all of your suggestions now I know that there are more cruises in Paris.
I went and researched and will post this info on 2 cruises:

Paris canal
19-21 Quai de la Loire-75019
E$ 16-9
9:30-12:15
From d?Orse to Parc de la Villette 3hours

Bassin de la Villette
13, Quai de la Loire ? 75019
9:45 et 14:30
E$11-8(kids)

Now please tell me if what I want to do IS doable.

I am staying near Bastilia 17 rue the Prague arron12.

Seems like Parc de la Villette near where I am. So, can I jump on 1 boat and go one way and then switch and come back by another?

I am arriving at 10:00 am after flight and overnight train and I want to be able to do as much as possible, so it would be nice to see Paris and rest a little (actually a lot...)

Thanks

And one more where to board

Square du Vert Galant
75001 Paris

for the cruise?

Allright,
what I need now is to find how far is 17 rue de Prague from 19-21 Quai de la Loire-75019 ?
How can I do this ?

Hi Ziana,

There is a good, zoomable map at www.multimap.com. You can look up both addresses.

I recommend you call the boat people about whether they offer one-way trips.

There are two firms offering trips along this canal: www.pariscanal.com and www.canauxrama.com.
Both normally offer morning and afternoon departures. The trip along the canal is slow because you pass through a series of locks. Therefore most people do a one-way trip.

Geoff, these sites where I found above info, thanks

ira,
I don;t see how using this map i can find both addresses. I have no idea where to zoom N?W?S?E?

I entered your addresses at:
www.mappy.com
and got a distance of 2.6 miles.

Hi ziana,

On the left side of the page you will see a compass. Clicking on N,S,E,W moves the map over.

Below that is a scale (5000) if you click on the arrow you can zoom out.

If you click on a spot on the map it will recenter the map.

If you have only a short time in Paris the canal trip would not be high on my list of to do's. In fact I have never done it in 10 trips.
Enter the two addresses and get a map of how to get from one to the other.
