Flyer Miles Mess
I have an awful mess of flyer miles and from work and credit card rewards programs. I’d like to use them to make it out to Greece this summer. The problem is these rewards are spread over different accounts with different airlines, and I just never have the time to sort through them. Can i get them combined for one roundtrip ticket?

Suggest you check out a frequent flyer web site.

If the miles are with one airline, but different accts., then you can transfer. The cost is normally about 3 cents per mile. United is the cheapest at 1 cent per mile.
If they are in different airlines, you may be able to use a service like points.com to combine. Remember, you are going to get slammed when you do this, as you will only get about 25% of your miles, if the respective companies are part of the Points.com group. dave |
The short answer is No. They're called loyalty programs for a reason, and you have shown no loyalty, it sounds like.
But post the complete details here of what you have, and it may be possible to make some suggestions. ...though not very likely for transatlantic travel for this summer - -in general, all the award seats for summertime transatlantic travel have been claimed by others, some months ago. I use a free website called leveragecard.com that helps to organize ff miles and rewards. It helps to have all your credits and miles in front of you. I think you can also swap miles with other users, but I haven't tried it. hope that helps.

jochols,
If you're talking about Amex and Diners Club points, you used to be able to convert those points to Frequent Flyer miles. I haven't had those points for a few years so I don't know if they still offer it. There are also several airlines that participate in the Star Alliance program which includes United and USair and several others. I believe you can combine miles from airlines in that program. Jane |
