fly to take the train from cinque terre to geneva

We are staying in Cinque terre (Riomaggiore) but then need to get to Geneva that same day. would a flight from Pisa be better/shorter or alot more costly than train travel?

The train trip will take just over 8 hours with 2 changes.
Look at flights from Pisa or Genoa.
