fly or train from London-Paris?

There will be three of us--I heard there are some 60.00 tickets to fly or is the train cheaper? Thanks

Take the train. You may find cheap flights, but remember the time and cost of getting to and back from the airport, the effort and such. Take the train (Eurostar)---the experience is great.

Along this line, does anyone know if you can purchase Eurostar tickets from the US? If so, how and where?

You can buy eurostar tickets through RailEurope (or contact a travel agent; they buy through RE usually); I *think* you can buy them through Rick Steves' ETTBD or BudgetEurope.

Definitely Eurostar. Wouldn't bother with first class as food is still lame and seats don't recline in either car.

Hi GB:

Definitely The EuroStar, though I disagree about using 1st class. I was given a choice of front or rear facing seats, a seat by myself or with a table and lamp. I made my reservations through RailEurope and the confirmation was faxed to me in about 15 minutes. The tickets arrived by DHL the next day. You can also get your Metro/bus tickets through them before you leave.
Have a great trip!
You can purchase the Eurostar thru DER Travel Service, at www.dertravel.com
They can provide all of your travel needs.
