Fly Florence to US?

Help Fodorites! We are headed to Florence next summer. What is the best way back to the US? We will be flying into CDG, spending a week in Paris, then taking a train to Florence. Just need some tips on how to get back to the US. We'll be flying to the West Coast - SFO. Thanks!

You could take the train to Rome and fly from there. Or get tickets from Florence to the US, which will probably fly you thru Rome or Paris anyway.

Check into Pisa as well. Closer than FCO (Rome) and has direct service back to the states.

If you are flying into CDG, I have book a R/T Florence and used CDG as a stop at no extra charge. I use the DL codeshare flights as the rules can be different.

Hi dl,

See www.kayak.com for open-jaw flights into CDG and out of Florence FLR or Pisa PSA.

The two Bologna airports - - BLQ and Forli - - might also be relevant to your planning.

Best wishes,

Rex

You can also fly through London if you depart from Pisa.

Agree with kayak.com suggestion. FWIW, we've gotten very good fares in the past on LH from FIR through MUC or FRA back to the States.
