fly direct to Norway?
Flights to Norway seem much more expensive than to London, or even Copenhagen. Would it be cheaper overall to fly to Norway direct or fly elsewhere and then use other transportation to go on to Norway? How would you do it? Thanks.

Since Continental is the only airline that flies non-stop to OSL, they can demand a premium. Some people who live in the New York area and want to save time are willing to spend a little more to get the non-stop.
But if you need a connection anyways, then yeah, just connect somewhere in Europe - London, Paris, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, etc... |
Hi
The last time we went to the USA we checked the Continental option from Oslo til NYC. This turned out to be more expensive for us compared to flying via Amsterdam. So check the prices with the different airlines and see who can offer the best price. Regards Gard http://gardkarlsen.com - trip reports and pictures |
Also via Stockholm, and there may be an InterScandinavian discount if arriving STO or CPH

Check out http://www.icelandair.com/. They have a very efficient hub at Keflavik for flights between North America and Europe. I was so impressed with them two years ago, that I am flying back to the US with them again next month. Oslo is one of their destinations.

I agree with the Icelandair. Connections are very efficient at KEF.
