Florence this weekend. Eating out.
 

Hello all,
I will be in florence this weekend with some friends. We have been there before so we have seen all the main sites. We would like to make "food" the main theme of our weekend, could anyone recomend any funky, cool or otherwise unmissible places to eat in??

Likewise Ristorante Omero. We did a 3-1/2 week trip to France and Italy in '07 and Omero was the benchmark meal bar none.

Il Latini can be great fun with a group! Here are some hints: make reservations (first seating); get to the restaurant early (depending on the day, you might arrive to find a throng of fellow diners on the street waiting to go in ... but not to worry, there's plenty of room inside!); order your own bottle of wine, unless you think you might find the 2L bottle of Chianti wrapped in straw palatable; and go hungry!!!

We had a memorable, fun evening at Il Latini last fall!
