elleneem- there is no advertising here on Fodor

Actually Tarquin, first 9 months have gone pretty well and they say if you can manage to stay above water as a new company right now things will only get better.

I'm gonna give Slanglish lessons on the side in Florence.Seriously.

Hi

On HHI a few days ago there was a show about an American couple who bought a pied-a-terre in Paris. It was somewhere around 360 SF, if I am not mistaken (perhaps a little less, even 325 or so) and it actually didn't look quite as small as I had expected. They did a great job renovating it. The bathroom looked respectably-sized, they had a full size bed with space around it, sofa, small table with chairs, small kitchen.

I think your place with the loft upstairs (and terrace and bathroom and closet - I didn't know that the terrace was upstairs as well) sounds perfect.

Thank you elleneem for digging up the website. I had been looking for it on the thread earlier on and couldn't find it. I wanted to look at laartista's work.

Good to hear from you Laartista/Andrea again.
I'm really enjoying reading of your adventures and wish you every success with your jewellery business. You have some fine pieces.

On the subject of small apartments, take a look at this YT video of a 430sq ft apartment in Hong Kong (hope the link works). Knowing your creativity, it may give you a few ideas of how to deal with the limited space.

Cheers,

M

It's cool isn't it, TDudette ?
I love things like that : making the most - and the best - of what you have to work with, and still being stylish.

Hi, Andrea - I've just found your thread late this afternoon and read it through for several hours. I am happy you and BearCat are going back to Florence. It may be a small city, but it has a huge soul and as you say, you're already established there. Please keep udating; your reports and observations are fantastic. If I could make a living there, I'd do the same thing you did without even thinking!

Your jewelry is just beautiful - I've got my eye on the large gold hoops to start with, but the bangles and the rings look good enough to eat. Can't wait to hear and see more.
