Florence Museum Reservations

Thanks to Ira, I was able to call a reservation hotline in Florence. I waited on hold for 12 minutes (cost me $1.20 on my calling plan), received a confirmation number. I stood in line at the Accademia to see David for 10 minutes while the other line waited 1.5 hours. I marched to the ticket office, gave the man my number and paid 3 Euros per ticket! The process really worked and was amazing. Thank you so much for such great advice.

Can you share that number? I'd love to reserve for our trip in June.

You can have your hotel make the reservations.

So far for June 9th we have had to book a 1 hour tour for 23 Euro each to see the Uffizi Gallery - the Accademia was simply the quick long distance call - very simple! Warning to others the Uffizi is "sold out" for most of June! I tried several websites - thanks to IRA I was able to get this reasonable tour with my hotel and avoid the long lines.

The state run museum reservation number is 01139055294883. If you dial 1016868 first, the call will be cheaper (thanks, Ira!!).

We were able to reserve for 6/2 for the Accademia but not for the Uffizi on 6/9. Since I'll only have one day in Florence on either side of the trip, I'm opting to skip the Uffizi this time around in favor of walking around the city and visiting some of the other sights.

Have fun!

Hi
don't worry about missing the Uffizi.
Many masterpieces of art of course, but for me far from the best experience Florence has to offer.
