These 10 friends are well-travelled ladies who I met when working abroad for 14 years......any of whom are likely to take me up on the invitation. That's what will make this fun.....who will actually show!!

Forgot to mention that my friends live in the US, UK, Holland, Cyprus and Saudi Arabia (and all know each other).....so it could be a great get-together. I'm hoping they will think it such a fun idea that they will not want to miss it. And how could they resist Florence?!?

We were 8 women traveling together in Florence last year and a highlight of our trip was the Cooking Class with Accidental Tourist.

If you would like to read about our experience, here is the thread for my trip report. Just scroll to the appropriate date as our trip began in Rome:

What a wonderful adventure!

Linda,
I read your post earlier but have just now gotten around to reading your account of your time in Florence. It really adds to my excitement and anticipation of the trip.
I have also checked in the Accidental Tourist and am thinking of asking them if they can arrange something special for those who join me. Do you think they can do this? If so, from your experience, what type of thing might work best (I'm actually thinking of something relaxing before a nice dinner with wine)..
I've taken notes from your trip and appreciate your input.
Thank you,
donna

Hi Donna!

Were you thinking of having the dinner after your Accidental Tourist tour or as part of it?

I ask because two of their tours stood out to me. One is the Sunset Stroll, which is a late afternoon winery tour/winetasting and then dinner at the estate. The other is one you design yourself. They have some great suggestions but I thought the dinner with live music, opera or otherwise, sounds like a blast. However, both have attendence minimums, so it would depend on how many of your friends are able to come.

It's really difficult for me to make suggestions because I don't know you or your friends. But I can say that the Accidental Tourist people are really great to work with. Our coordinator was Majla - she's a lot of fun. Why not email them at [email protected] to her attention. Give them a few days to respond.

I am green right now! You are in for a treat. Let me know if I can answer any other questions.
Linda
