Florence Hotels ofr May under 80 USD?
Does anyone have suggestions for a hotel with a bathroom ensuite for under 80 U.S. Dollars during the month of May?
I tried venere.com, but most of the hotels only had shared bathrooms.
What were the names of some of the convents listed?
Also, how much tax should I figure into the overall cost---when I tried to see about booking and price on venere.com and another site I saw the total price, but it made no mention of taxes.
Also, many places say they do not accept credit cards----without a credit card can I still be sure my hotel has been properly reserved?

May I suggest that you put <Florence +convent> (without the arrows, of course) into the Search Box yourself instead of asking us to do it for you?
Convents normally stand by their reservations. I don't know whether the same is true of inexpensive hotels.
You could also try:

Email them again 4 weeks prior to your departure to confirm your reservation. Bring hard copies of your emails with you. Ask for total cost including taxes in your email. Book ASAP.
