Florence Hotel Recommendations? Trying to Choose between three Hotels!

I will be in Florence for three days next week and am trying to decide between three hotels that have been recommended to me:

1) Davanzati
2) Montebello Splendid
3) Monna Lisa Hotel

The Davanzati is the most expensive and the Monna Lisa is the least expensive. Has anyone stayed in these hotels and can offer any recommendations as to which to pick?

My good friend and I are in our 20's and would like a hotel that is central so we can walk around and just explore Florence.

Thanks!

Presently there is an offer by the tourist office of Florence called 4xyou, stay four and pay for three nights and many properties particpate. From to 2 to 5 stars.

I have stayed at the Monna Lisa 2 or 3 times and like it alot. It's quiet and charming - with a garden in the back, and parking - quite a rarity in Florence. If there is any downside it's that it's not quite in the center of things - it's only about a 8 minute walk to the Duomo. The hotel is in a more residential area, which I like. This hotel is one that I recommend to my friends.

I am not familar with any of these hotels but staying in more of a residential area is nice if you get tired of the crowds MHB.

You may have booked, but check out www.venere.com or type in the hotel name and then tripadvisor. You will get all the reviews you will need to make your decision. I've used them both as my scouting base and then negotiated a better deal with the hotel directly, once I made the decision on where to stay.
