Florence - Hotel Lungarno or JK Place?

Jump to last reply

Will be in Florence for 4 nights in early October and considering either JK Place or Hotel Lungarno, both of which came highly recommended by friends. I know the locations are very different which has pros and a cons for both. At JK Place we are looking at a Deluxe Double, at Hotel Lungarno we are looking at a Superior. There are some more expensive rooms at Lungarno with terraces overlooking the river but they are stretching the budget a little too far (can always hope for an upgrade)! This is for a 10th wedding anniversary and we don't mind splurging somewhat. We will have three full (non-travel) days in Florence. At least one of the three days will be a day trip to Tuscany. For what it is worth we will be arriving via train from Bellagio (Milan) and heading to Positano afterwards.

Appreciate in advanve any comparative thoughts on these properties.
