Florence - Hotel Davanzati

Hello!
We are going to be in Florence for 5 nights in July and are currently booked at the Hotel Davanzati. Just wondering if anyone on here has stayed there recently? I see some old threads but they are all before 2008. Trip advisor looks good though. Thanks for your feedback!

I've stayed there several times and have always found it very nice. Their customer service is excellent. They offer a free "happy hour" each day with complimentary wine and snacks. It's a nice way to meet other travelers. The location is very central.

I have to say we were not so impressed with the Hotel Davanzati in Florence. The first, and most important thing for us was that it is not on the ground floor and without an elevator. Funny how none of the reviews had mentioned this. We were left lugging up our wheeled suitcases up a very narrow staircase just to get to the reception area.
On a more recent trip we stayed at the B&B Relais Tiffany, which was not only nearer the station and more reasonably priced, but was on the ground floor. It made a big difference to our stay!
