Florence Hilton

Anyone stay in the Hilton Garden Inn in Florence?

How about the Hilton?

Thoughts?

Do you want to stay at a Hilton because of points? Otherwise, wouldn't you want to stay in a more Florentine hotel?

The Hilton Garden Inn is in Florence, though not very centrally located. You couldn't walk to sights from there.

The Hilton is way out of town, further out than the airport it seems.

I would not stay at either one since I prefer walking from my hotel to sights, absorbing the feeling of the old center rather than the newer suburbs.

While I prefer being in the type of hotels others describe,I'd love tohave some feedback on this new one.
I've got lots of HH points and usually use them in Rome and Paris. Saving the money in Florence opens up other possibilities for my next trip.
I,however, agree that using money (not points) I'd go elsewhere.

Thanks, yes, I'm going to use points.

To stay for free, is this hotel good eneough?

Even for free, this hotel is too isolated from the center and not worth the hassle.

I have points as well with all the major chains but am not willing to compromise a special trip like a visit to Florence by using them.
