Florence - Galileo Science Museum renos?

Counting down to departure day here (9 days to go!), I was wondering if anyone had any specific information as to when the renos at the Galileo Science Museum in Florence are scheduled to be completed? Website only says Spring 2010, which is what it has been saying for some time.

Thanks for any light you can shed on the subject.

Renos?

Unless someone has been been there recently and can confirm by experience, I'd just stop by and check. The museum is quite close to the Uffizi and Ponte Vecchio and other central sights. It's easy to stop by and verify how much of the museum is open before paying the admission.

By the way, in March 2008 when I last visited the museum, the renovations were already underway. A small exhibit was in place on the ground floor featuring some of the items from the floors above (including Galileo's finger) as well as a small exhibit of early bicycles. There was also a exhibit of telescopes and lenses in the basement.

Thanks ellenm, just winging it seems like a sensible plan.
