Florence Car Rental
 

We will be traveling to Piensa from Florence in May on a Wednesday and are planning to rent a car at the train station, and returning the car on the following Sunday to the Florence airport. Is that a good plan? Is there a car rental company that is recommended? Is it better to rent the car at the airport?

Compare the prices of airport vs. train station pickup. Train station will probably be a bit cheaper. But, are you comfortable driving out of Florence? It would be easier and less stressful to drive from the airport.

My husband, who is a licensed race car driver, just about had a stroke driving out of Florence--and the man has driven in Scotland and Ireland on the "wrong" side of the road. I highly recommend pick up and return at the airport!!!

If it's May 13 and you choose the airport, I might bump into you (not with the car, I hope).

Thanks for the prompt responses. We will definitely look into renting a car at the airport. Neither of us is a race car driver!!!
