Florence breakfast options
 

We are taking the night train from Paris and will be getting into Florence really early around 730 am. We will just staying for the day then going down to Rome. What are the breakfast places nearby? I have been trying to find restuarants online, but nothing opening before 12.

I imagine that there will be plenty of bars serving coffee and brioche etc

Restaurants don't serve breakfast; bars and cafes do, but don't expect bacon and eggs, except at this place that opens at 8 am:

Regular sit-down restaurants don't serve breakfast. Italians eat at coffee bars standing up, some have limited table service, or you can get grab & go from a bakery.

If I were doing this trip I'd find a small food market and buy some fruit, fresh roll, juice & yogurt & make a picnic breakfast in a piazza.

Go to the mercato centrale, there are all sorts of interesting things to eat in rolls, etc, and it will be open early.

Follow your nose to the many bakeries and cafe's open early in the mornings. I always go for a run in the early mornings when in Florence and enjoy a stop at a coffee bar where I have a cappucino or two at the bar. Then it's a stop at a bakery to pick up still warm breads to bring back and enjoy.

Wander a few side streets - you will not have to search very long.

Latoya, I assume you have a street map of Fllorence. If you do not, buy a guide book with one or print one out from the Internet.

Walk out of the station, down through the underground passage, and when you get on the other side, head for the Duomo. There are coffee bars that sell pastries and have outdoor seating at the Piazza there. Or go to the Central market, as already suggested. That place is a real wonder, in any case?

There will even be an open coffee bar inside the train station. And the McDonalds at the station opens at 7AM.
