Florence - Breakfast in Mercato Centrale?

Hi all, just a quick question that Google hasn't been able to answer for me... If we decide to skip breakfast one morning in Florence and head straight to the Mercato Centrale, will there be good places inside the market to get breakfast? I mean a decent coffee and pastry place? My hunch is that there must be in a place like that, yet surprisingly little turns up when I search online.

Thanks in advance!

I looked around the Mercato Centrale last year and there were a couple of small cafes with a few tables serving, at noon, simply unpretentious meals. Nothing fancy. I assume they serve breakfast - rolls and coffee.

The market is a fascinating place in Florence - a wrought-iron grand old market hall with two floors - most tourists i think rarely put it on their radar even though it's right in the thick of tourist Florence.

Great prices on veg and cheese, etc.

Thanks PalenQ. I'm definitely going to the mercato centrale. Local markets are a must-see for me!

I've eaten lunch there at Nerone which is a classic Florentine experience (their boiled beef sandwiches are world famous but they do have other things) My sense is that they would begin serving early. They have a row of tables and benches across from the serving area. And there are other small cafe-stalls inside the market and nearby..you should have no problem..the market people have to eat, too.
