Florence B&B
I am booked into the Tourist House Duomo in Florence in June. I booked through Venere and the price and location look good. My question, Just how does a B&B differ from a hotel in Florence? Do you get maid service or is it more like an apartment? Venere rates this as a First Category B&B, what does this mean? Thanks for any info.

Anyone? Please

I stayed in a B&B last September in Florence. I think every B&B is different. I can't remember if there was maid service or not. The one thing I do remember, though, is that they only replaced the towels every three days and stated that in their little "rule" book.

Thanks for the reply. I did read a couple of negative reviews on Venere.com, but most reviews were OK. Oddly enough this B&B doesn't serve breakfast. Makes me wonder just what to expect.

desieve-not knowing your budget its hard for me to comment, but you might want to check out some 2 star hotels in Florence: www.hotelbellettini.com & hotel Casci are highly praised on this forum.
Best of luck p.s.www.ricksteves.com has good budget choices. |
Fluffy, I'm trying to keep my budget to less than $150 per night for a triple. I got this place for 130EUR (the exchange rate is killing me, you know the story). I booked the THD a couple of months ago and I did check both the hotels you mentioned, and as I remember the rates were considerably higher (30-50EUR per night). I'll only be in Florence for 3 nights, so how bad can it be (let's not start a thread on that topic LOL)I just mostly wanted to know what to expect when I arrived. Thanks for the replies
