Florence and Rome

Hi I am new to these forums and I have a question. I am taking a big trip to Europe this summer that includes Italy. In Italy I am going to Florence and Rome but not Venice. I really want to purchase Murano style glass in Italy. My question is does Florence or Rome carry Murano style glass at any of their shops in the city? If so what are the shops called and/or where can I find them(like what part of the city)? If someone could let me know if I can purchase Murano style glass in these two big cities, I would be very greatful. Thank you.

Hi RJ,

You can purchase " Murano style glass " in the US; most of it made in China.

Yes, you can purchase Murano glass in Florence or Rome.

May I ask why you aren't going to Venice?

The reason I am not going to Venice is because I am going with a high school group and my teachers were the ones who planned it.

There is a shop called Murano at Corso Rinascimento, 43/45; I saw it two weeks ago when I was in Rome.

The phone numbers are 06-6880-6384 and 06-6880-8038. (You have to dial the city prefix -- 06 -- even if you are phoning within Rome.)

Corso Rinascimento is in the Piazza Navona/Pantheon area of Rome.
