Floating/swimming at Pont du Gard

I've read that a great way to see the Pont du Gard is to swim/float on your back. May be a silly question, but what do you do with the money belt, etc????!

I have splashed around in the river under the Pont du Gard and it is wonderful. I don't have a money belt, but I have always had my valuables in sight very close to where I was splashing around. I keep some things in the car since it is a very safe car park with video surveillance, but that is a personal decision.

Plastic/waterproof containers work..Put your stuff in, packing tape it folded tight and float away. Or rent a canoe/kayak.. not impossible and a wondrful experience!

I should think it's entirely up to you to come up with a creative solution. I don't use a moneybelt, so that wouldn't be an issue. I'd probably just leave my purse totally hidden in the locked car in the parking lot.
