Yes it's true, but the 767s and 777s are the last models to have couple of rows put back, so for the most part the upcoming summer season will still have MRTC but you will start running into LRTC towards the end of summer. All models are suppose to have LRTC by next Oct/Nov.

My dear Jenn,

I would be more concerned about the cost of the flight than about the onboard entertainment system.

I agree with ira, but that changes when you throw in the three teens. Because of our children, we paid $50 more per person to travel on a plane with the monitors this summer.

Just flew on AA from London yesterday on a plane with the personal monitors. Overheard the flight attendant say that they are going to start charging for the headsets sometime early next year. She encouraged passengers to take home the headsets they were using and save them to use when the new fee goes into effect. This has been the policy on domestic flights within the U.S. so it looks like it will soon be policy on overseas trips too.

You can bring your own headseat from your portable at home. They work just fine on planes.

My dear Ira,
Since the flights seem to be all around the same cost - why should I not ask for
a flight that will help to pass the 11
hrs quickly ?
Thank you to DanM for understanding.
