Flights to Rome in November

Does anyone have feedback to share about the average price for a RT flight to Rome from Charlotte, NC (or generally, east coast) in early November? My husband and I are traveling to Italy (Rome & Florence) to celebrate our 1st anniversary. I have reserved hotel rooms but am still looking for the flight. I've found tickets for $630 each but am wondering whether it's worth it to wait for fall sales or if that's about average for that time of year? Any thoughts would be much appreciated!

Considering how foggy everybody's crystal ball is this year (gas pricing on the rise again...), your price (if it includes fees and taxes) looks pretty good to me.

What do others think?

Based on fares over the past year, I would not expect them to go much below $600 (they went to about $500 very briefly for Jan-Feb travel this year). I would probably buy at $630 if my dates were inflexible, but watch for something better if I had some flexibility.
These figures assume all fees and taxes included.

Thanks - that price does include all taxes/fees and only one stop (in Newark) between Charlotte & Rome.

HI,

I'm watching flights to Rome in November also (from Boston.) Found one last week on AirFrance for $599, yesterday the same flight was $619! The lesson is if you find one that looks good, buy it!

If it includes all fees and taxes, then pretty good price. I'd book it.

Of course when I went back yesterday to book, it was GONE...still coming up as an option on kayak.com and mobissmio.com but when you clicked through to the individual sites it said price had changed. BOOO. Guess I'll keep looking. I'm looking for midweek dates, so hopefully something else will turn up!!

I can see $480 on Alitalia from Washington Dulles in early November. From CLT or RDU I can see low $600s on Air Canada, via Toronto. I don't think it's likely they will go much lower, or if so hardly worth the gamble. One or two nights' careful hotel shopping and the difference is moot anyway.

I can't get the online system with Alitalia to work - keep getting message that "system is not available - please try again." This has been happening for 2 days. Anyone know another way to access their online booking?
