Flights to Germany

Im looking to fly from Toronto to Stuttgart Germany at the end of august.

I know I have left booking my flight to the last minute.

Does anyone know of any discount travel agencies online other than the standard ones which may be cheaper?

Flying August 14th until September 4th, the cheapest I have found it $1100 american

Try checking the price to Frankfurt or Munich instead. I have found that Stuttgart is an expensive destination. The train connection from the other airports to Stuttgart is easy and short (particularly from Frankfurt).

I usually start with Kayak.com to see what airlines go from here to there. Travelocity will let you search with flexible dates and nearby airports and that will let you know what options you have.

You can save at least U$@200 by flying out of Buffalo to FRA. I see AA for $878, CO for $874 and US for $858.

What website did you use to get these prices?

I used beta.itasoftware.com to search. Those fares are indeed bookable on the airline's own websites.

AA.com have a even lower fare, but the return trip is FRA-DFW-TUL-ORD-BUF. Not sure if you want to do that.

Last time I flew into Stuttgart (2003) there was only one flight from North American to Stuttgart, a Delta flight out of Atlanta. Last time I checked that was still the case.

However, we were going to Rothenburg when we arrived and leaving from Schwaben, so, with ground transportation after arrival, it was the least expensive way. I would agree that you might find it less expensive to fly into Munich.

On the other hand, in August, with oil prices so high, $1100 US is not such a bad price.

Check with Condor (German charter airline, condor.com) 8/17-9/7 - US$728/rt/pp.
