Flights to Crete from London Engand
Are there any direct flights from London England to Crete? If so, what airlines? Do they go from Heathrow? Thank you in advance.

There are dozens of flights a week from Luton, Gatwick and Stansted to Chania and Heraklion (sometimes described as Irakleion)).
There are no direct flights from LHR to Crete currently: I don't think there are any in summer either. There are several different airlines, some you may not have heard of, and not necessarily operating at the time of year you want. Go to the airport site, look up the "timetables" section and take it from there. |
There are flights from Heathrow (Aegean Airlines), but they are not direct - they fly via Athens.

Try Easyjet, Monarch Airlines and Thomsonfly. There might be others operating the routes but these spring to mind. None are from LHR however.

As others have noted, there aren't normally direct flights from Heathrow, as the flights to Crete service mostly holidaymakers. So the airlines servicing the route tend not to be the flag carriers that operate out of Heathrow.
There will also be more flights during the summer – charter flights often operated by holiday companies that, these days, are happy to sell just flights and not just as part of a package. Here is a list of Airlines and airports for flights UK-Heraklion: http://www.europe-airports.com/greec...t.php?code=HER And Chania: http://www.europe-airports.com/greec...t.php?code=CHQ It looks like the low cost airline Germanwings may fly from Heathrow-Heraklion, although I couldn't tell you if that's direct. |
Germanwings will offer flights via Berlin and/or Cologne.

Besides if it's a German flight to Crete you'll probably be expected to parachute onto the island.

Thank you everyone for your help as usual. Have a great day.
